My Gear Up Florida!
Last summer, I completed the inaugural Gear Up New York cycling event, from Buffalo to NYC, with The Ability Experience. We biked over 600 miles in 10 days and met with multiple organizations that empower the disabled community! Through these organizations the team was able to meet, hang out, and play games with some of the community members with disabilities. These "friendship visits," as we call them, were hands down the best part of the trip.
This summer, I'm getting back in the saddle to complete Gear Up Florida, from Miami to Tallahassee! It'll be more miles, more friendship visits, and our commitment to the community will be able to reach even further. We will bike over 1000 miles in 20 days and have over a dozen friendship visits!
