My Journey of Hope!
This summer, I am dedicating my time to the well-being of others on a cross-country cycling event called Journey of Hope. As part of a team for this event, we will spread our message of empathy and acceptance across the United States as we meet with organizations that support people with disabilities along the way.
I am doing this ride for my cousin Mike who has epilepsy and Pervasive Developmental Disorder Not Otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS). Due to his disability, he is constantly standing up to adversity that inspires my entire approach to life. Mikey is one of the kindest, hardest working and smartest people I have ever met in my life and continues to prove that every time I see him. When I told him about Journey of Hope he was super excited and so happy that I can have an impact on other children and adults that have been through similar experiences to his own.
