AbEx Challenge: San Juan Gravel Grinder

More opportunities. Bigger impact. In honor of Jason Tirado and Todd Porterfield.

This October, I'm riding the Ability Experience Challenge: San Juan Gravel Grinder, a three-day, 170-mile trek from Grand Junction, Colorado to Moab, Utah. But this ride is about far more than the miles.

I'm riding in honor of two people who shaped my time with The Ability Experience: Jason Tirado and Todd Porterfield. I was on Jason's Journey of Hope team, and I had the privilege of working alongside him. Todd was on my very first Journey of Hope team. Both of them lived out what this organization is all about: showing up, building community, and creating a world where people with disabilities are seen, valued, and included. Riding this route in their honor is my way of carrying that mission forward.

Every dollar raised goes directly to The Ability Experience's work: building relationships and opportunities for people with disabilities across the country, and shaping young men into servant leaders through programs like Journey of Hope, Gear Up, and Ability Camps.

I've seen this impact up close. This past year, I led a team to Honduras where we built a medical clinic serving a community that needed it. That's the kind of tangible, lasting change your support makes possible, whether it's a clinic overseas or a connection made right here at home.

My goal is to raise $5,000. Every gift, large or small, helps us offer more opportunities for The Ability Experience to change lives, for people with disabilities and for the young men who serve alongside them.

Thank you for being part of this journey with me. Let's keep building.
