My Journey of Hope!
This summer, I am dedicating my time to serving others through one of The Ability Experience's cycling events, Journey of Hope. As part of this experience, I will join a team biking across the country while visiting dozens of organizations that support people with disabilities. Along the way, we will have the opportunity to meet and connect with individuals whose lives are positively impacted by these programs and services, helping to spread a message of empathy, inclusion, and acceptance. This has helped me to learn the importance of inclusion and community.
Through my experiences, I have learned how meaningful friendships, opportunities, and support services can make a real difference in the lives of people with disabilities. Now I have the opportunity to help support those efforts while taking on an incredible challenge of my own.
I chose to participate in Journey of Hope because I wanted to push myself both physically and mentally while dedicating my summer to helping others. While this ride will certainly challenge me, it is only temporary. The individuals we are supporting often face challenges every day of their lives, and participating in this journey is one small way I can help make a difference.
I am raising funds to support The Ability Experience's mission of creating opportunities and providing services for people with disabilities. Every dollar donated through this page goes directly toward supporting that mission and helping those who benefit from these programs. My travel expenses for the ride are being covered by myself personally and are not funded by your donation.
