Gear Up New York 2026

My Gear Up New York Journey!

This summer, I am dedicating my time to serving others on one of The Ability Experience's cycling events called Gear Up New York. I will be joining a team that will travel across the Empire State from Niagara Falls to Manhattan in order to spread our message of empathy and acceptance for our friends with disabilities! We will meet with dozens of organizations that support people with disabilities along the way.

The First Step (and the First $100!!)

Tuesday 24th Feb
I am officially kicking off my journey for Gear Up New York 2026! This challenge will be so much more than just the miles that my team and I will be putting in; it's about supporting the incredible mission of The Ability Experience. Their work to create shared experiences for people with disabilities is why I have committed to this event. 
Right now, my tracker says 0 miles, but that's about to change. Over the coming weeks, I'll be documenting my training, the ups and downs of preparation, and why this cause means something to me.
