This summer, my sons Chase and Jack are dedicating their time to serving others on one of The Ability Experience's cycling events called the Journey of Hope. They will be joining a team that will be cycling across the country in order to spread our message of empathy and acceptance for our friends with disabilities! They will meet with dozens of organizations that support people with disabilities along the way. This Journey will be over 60 days and will include stops in various cities in the northern part of the United States.
I have decided to join them for a portion of their trip in Colorado. Although it’s been 29 years since I rode this same route, I’ve decided to join the cause at 50 years old and share some of this experience with them.
