My Journey of Hope!
If you asked me when I was younger "What are you going to do when you grow up?" I would have never guessed what I am doing today, but I am so proud this has become my path.
I joined the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity in 2021; my freshman year of college at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss). One of the reasons I wanted to join was their philanthropic cause, helping the disability community.
In 2024, I was hired as the PR intern at The Ability Experience, Pi Kappa Phi's national philanthropy. I spent the summer working to highlight the Journey of Hope as they traveled the country uplifting the disability community. By the end, I felt like I had missed out on all the fun working behind the scenes. I knew I wanted to be apart of it.
Last year, I took on the challenge. I fundraised $10,000 and cycled across the US with my incredible teamates. I became the second ever Ole Miss Pi Kapp to complete the ride. My experience cemented my life-long commitment to servant leadership.
This summer, I am answering the call... one more time. Rather than watching or riding, I will be leading a Journey of Hope team as project manager. I'll be the first one up in the morning and the last to be asleep at night. Inbetween, I'll be the face of the organization while coortinating everything that goes into the summer.
Please help me support The Ability Experience and this mission by making a donation through this page. The process is fast, easy and secure . Thank you so much for your support, and please share this page others.
Cheers to one more summer!
