Journey of Hope 2026

My Journey of Hope

"What are you going to do when you grow up?"

That was always the question, and I never had a good answer.  I didn’t know it yet, but I was going to be a servant leader.

I joined the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity in 2021; my freshman year of college at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss).  I was motivated to join Pi Kapp because their philanthropic mission was helping people with disabilities.

In 2024, I was hired as the PR intern at The Ability Experience, our national philanthropy.  I spent the summer working behind the scenes to promote the Journey of Hope cyclists as they biked across the US.  It was rewarding, but I felt like I had missed out on all the fun.  I wanted to be a part of it.

Last year, I took on the challenge.  I fundraised $10,000 and cycled across the US with an incredible team.  I became the second Ole Miss Pi Kapp ever to complete the ride.

This summer, I am answering the call... one more time.  Rather than riding, I will be leading the cycling team as project manager.  I will be the face of the organization while coordinating everything from breakfast to volunteer service.

But wait, there’s more.  Before the ride, I am flying to Honduras to take part in a week-long volunteer construction project.  We will be building a medical clinic and nursing station at Casa Misericordia Mujeres, a home for neglected children and adults with disabilities.

Please help me support this mission by making a donation.  The process is easy, secure, and tax deductible. Thank you so much for your support, and please share this page with others.

Here’s to servant leadership and one more summer!

Big Fundraising Momentum

Sunday 26th Apr
After a huge fundraising push this week, I have officially raised over $5,000 across my Journey of Hope and Ability Camp Honduras fundraisers.

My biggest contributions:
-  $2,500 Circle of Giving grant (Through the Alpha Lambda Chapter at Ole Miss)
-  $520 donation from the Blende Dental Group
-  $516 anonymous donation

I achieved this with a mix of in-person networking, email campaigning, and social media outreach.

Thank you to everyone supporting my mission of service this summer.  Your donations make a real impact on the disability community.

I still have another $2,500 to go before I reach my goal, so please spread the word!

Thank you to my donors
