Grant Shemwell

Chapter Fundraising 2026

Your donation is making a big difference in the lives of people with disabilities.

Thank you for supporting my fundraising page and helping my chapter achieve our fundraising goals with The Ability Experience!  Your generosity directly supports programs that empower people with disabilities, making a real difference in their lives.

As the only national fraternity to establish and maintain its own non-profit organization, we pride ourselves in taking the lead when we see a need and have set the fraternal standard for hands-on, service-based leadership training. With your donation, we’re creating opportunities for inclusion, breaking down barriers, and building a stronger, more connected community!

Every donation brings us closer to our mission of celebrating the abilities of all individuals. Thank you for being part of this incredible journey with us. Your support means so much to me and my chapter brothers!

Grant Shemwell - Alpha Iota (Auburn University)

Thursday 15th Jan
Hello, My name is Grant Shemwell, and I am a sophomore at Auburn University from Alpharetta, Georgia. This past November, I was incredibly honored to be elected as the Philanthropy Chair for Pi Kappa Phi, a role I pursued with great intention and pride. I ran for this position because I believe philanthropy is the most important role within a chapter, as it reflects our values and character to the Auburn community, our fellow students, our brothers, and the sponsors and partners who support us. Our chapter has a strong and prestigious history with The Ability Experience, having raised over $100,000 in each of the past two years through our War of the Roses campaign. Being part of a chapter with such a powerful philanthropic culture inspired me to step into a leadership role and continue that legacy. I have been involved in numerous social and school organizations throughout my life that share the same mission of service and impact as The Ability Experience, which further motivated me to run. This spring, I have an exciting lineup of philanthropy events planned, and I cannot wait to raise more funds and spread more awareness for our cause. I am extremely excited for the journey ahead this year as Philanthropy Chair and the opportunity to grow both personally and as a leader. I am also looking forward to attending Pi Kapp College in Dallas this weekend, where I am eager to connect and bring new ideas back to our chapter as we continue striving to make a meaningful impact.
