This opportunity was made possible through Fr. Justin Alarcón, a Pi Kappa Phi brother from the Gamma Chapter at Cal-Berkeley. After participating in Journey of Hope twice, he became a Franciscan Friar and now serves communities in Honduras. He invited our team to assist with a project at Casa Misericordia Mujeres, where there is a major need for accessible healthcare resources and facilities.
Throughout the week, we will be working alongside local residents and contractors doing hands-on construction work including mixing cement, laying blocks, and painting. Although the work will be physically demanding, the goal is to help create something that will positively impact the community for many years to come.
Every donation will go directly toward construction materials, medical supplies, and other essential resources needed to complete the clinic. No matter the amount, every contribution helps support this mission and the families who will benefit from it. If you are unable to donate, sharing this with others would also make a meaningful difference.
The trip will take place May 9–16.
Thank you for your support and generosity.
Sincerely,
Connor Jones
