Ava Caudell

The Ability Experience is personal to me because as an education major, I’ve learned that no two students are the same and that’s what makes teaching so meaningful to me. Every child deserves patience, support, and the chance to feel confident in who they are, no matter their abilities. That’s a big reason why Pi Kappa Phi’s mission to support individuals with developmental disabilities is so important to me. It reflects everything I’m working toward in my future classroom. Which is inclusion, understanding, and making sure every student feels seen and valued. Through my experiences, I’ve realized that even the smallest encouragement can make a huge difference in a child’s life. Being Ability Queen gives me the opportunity to be part of something bigger than myself and also something that creates those moments of support and connection. To me, it’s not just about service. It’s about showing up, caring deeply, and helping create a world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
