My Why

First, I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to visit my page and support me as I represent Sigma Kappa in Pi Kappa Phi’s philanthropy week!

The Ability Experience holds a special place in my heart because of someone who has had one of the biggest influences on my life: my mom. My mom is a special education teacher back home, and growing up, I’ve seen firsthand the love, patience, and dedication she puts into her students. She has taught me that everyone deserves to feel loved, valued, and included, regardless of their abilities.

Watching my mom make a difference in the lives of her students has shown me that even the smallest acts of kindness and encouragement can have the biggest impact. That’s why The Ability Experience means so much to me. Its mission of supporting individuals with disabilities reflects the same compassion and values my mom has instilled in me throughout my life.

Being able to represent Sigma Kappa while supporting such a meaningful cause is something I am truly thankful for. I hope that through this opportunity, I can make my mom proud and carry on even a little bit of the love and kindness she shows others every day.
